Itinerary

The Aurina Valley is a fantastic setting for families looking for a day with a mix of active adventure and authentic alpine culture. The Aurino River is glacier-fed and surrounded by dramatic peaks with an accessible rafting experience on an easy section between Lutago and Terzo di Tures. Together with experienced instructors, you'll navigate small rapids and swirling eddies in a safe, fun environment designed for ages six and older.

After you've finished rafting, you'll move on to explore a family-run mountain farm just a short walk from the river. Here, you'll be treated to a warm welcome along with a classic South Tyrolean merenda, which is a traditional light lunch. They'll share their story and their craft before serving mouth-watering homemade goat cheeses, regional cow cheeses from the valley, local speck and cured meats, homemade chutney, and freshly baked bread. After lunch, you'll get to visit the cute goats, browse the farm shop, and enjoy the peaceful nature of rural mountain life.

Day 1

Family Rafting and Farm Day in the Dolomites

In the morning, you'll have a private transfer to the rafting base in the Aurina Valley, where your certified instructors will give you a full safety briefing and get you geared up. You'll push off onto the river and enjoy the small rapids, playful waves, and the many calm sections where you can take in the beautiful scenery. There's also a fun part where you pass under a refreshing waterfall that sprays you like a refreshing natural shower! After the rafting, you'll walk a short distance to a nearby family-run farm, where they'll share their stories and daily life before you relax and enjoy a light lunch of their delicious homemade cheeses and products. After lunch, you can meet the friendly goats and check out the farm shop before your private transfer back.

Multisport - Easy

Easy trips are relaxed and family-friendly. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and/or Via Ferrata, lasting 1–3 hours and averaging 3–6 km / 2–4 miles per day. Terrain is mostly flat (up to 150m / 500' gain) on dirt or paved paths. Pace is leisurely, and most activities are optional. Transfers by private or public transportation are available.

Trips may include beginner climbing (grades 2–4) on short routes (max 50m / 150'), or an introductory Via Ferrata (grades 1A–1B), often more like a hike with safety cables.

From August onward, water levels on the Aurino River may be too low for regular departures. This tour is available on request only during this period.
The farm is open from May 1 to mid-October, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed Mondays. In May, open weekends only (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
