Itinerary

The Fanes Valley is a place where water is the primary architect. This guided half-day trip takes you into the heart of a deep limestone gorge, where the Rio de Fanes tumbles over massive cliffs in a series of spectacular waterfalls. It's one of the most atmospheric landscapes in the Dolomites, where the deep green of the forest contrasts with the pale grey of the towering stone massifs.
The ferrata section of this trip is designed for everyone. It's an easy, well-equipped path that allows you to safely navigate the vertical sections of the gorge using steel cables and iron ladders. The undisputed highlight is the moment the trail passes directly behind the first waterfall. You'll feel the power and the spray of the water as you cross the rock face. This adventure is a refreshing and unforgettable experience that makes this one of our most popular summer outings. But don't take our word for it. Book now and see for yourself!

What You Need to Know
Difficulty: This is one of the most accessible via ferratas in the Dolomites, making it ideal for beginners, families, and anyone curious about the vertical world. The cable section is approximately 100m / 328' and is fully equipped throughout. No prior via ferrata experience required.
Waterfall Section: The trail passes directly behind the first waterfall - this is the highlight of the route and it will get you wet. Bring a waterproof layer and consider a change of clothes for the transfer back to Cortina.
Layering for Mountain Weather: The Fanes Valley gorge stays naturally cool and shaded. Bring a light jacket even on warm summer days - the spray from the falls makes the gorge feel significantly cooler than the valley.
Lido Capoverde: Cortina's famous outdoor lido is an optional lunch stop on the return. Your guide can arrange the detour if the group is interested.
