Day 1
Winter Hike on the Pralongia High Plateau
Today, get ready for an awesome hike to the Pralongià high plateau and Störes peak! In the morning, you'll take a private ride to the Armentarola area, right above the village of San Cassiano. From there, you'll start your snowshoeing adventure, walking through beautiful meadows and climbing up through a magical forest. Once you reach the tree line, you'll see incredible snowy landscapes and pretty little huts dotted all around. As you hike up, you'll hit the small summit cross of Piz de Störes, standing at 2,181m (7,155'). The views from here are amazing, with some of the best-known Dolomite mountains like Settsass, Col di Lana, Marmolada, and the Sella Massif all around you. Just below the summit, there's a lovely rifugio (2,157m / 7,077'), where you can enjoy a delicious Alpine lunch (included). After lunch, you'll continue snowshoeing to another rifugio (2,079m / 6,821'). Then, you'll head over to Piz Sorega (2,017m / 6,617'), where you'll hop on the cable car to ride back down to San Cassiano (tickets included). Have fun exploring this cozy Alpine town for the rest of the day!
